A statue is crumbling with the husk of night

A silhouette is hiding with its dreams and within you get this slowly sinking

Feeling, a blood curdling shriek.

You wake up, both cold and warm from the sun that burns your body.

Beneath the waves we chase the morning, grey bent the silver, as we rush in to catch a glimpse

of the echoing fire we describe as our souls.

I turned aside and looked beneath my two feet

Nothing.

I saw nothing

Nothing but air below my distant feet silently you crept in, you were dark & wandering

as I crept into your soul with smoke & ashes in my wake.

Whispering secrets told the night to burn late dawn would have to wait.

Below the horizon I caught the gaze of the tall peaks that brought tears to the eyes of

The Stars I cast aside my embers to feel what once was not of my own

but all I heard was the sound of my own breathing

But I swear this sound was not of my own, but instead this could only be the haunting whisper

that dwelled alone with the cold dark night that fed off the illness of fear & fantasy.

just wanting to crawl under me.

We rise

Yet again

We fail to see. With roots untangled trough the mist we see our past and we fail

to see what we left behind, the ones we know,

By heart. By mind.

the ones that sat in sight the ones we thought we would remember.
